BREAKING NEWS: Robert Brian Bassett, (former mayor of Biggs California) has been Sentenced to the Upper Term of 4 Years and 4 Months.
We will be updating this Story later. We have notes for the entire sentencing in Butte County Superior Court, Court Room #2 this morning.
The District Attorney's Office read a letter from the victim to the Court, before sentencing. She described being "Manipulated and Used" and how she is currently dealing with "Emotional Issues, Trust, and Self Doubt". She also stated that this resulted in her "Loss of Innocence".
An additional piece to this is according to the victim, Heatherleigh Kay Cook Bassett (Bassett’s Wife) participated in this after the victim’s 18th Birthday.
